How Much Does It Cost to Form an LLC in Arizona?

The current ACC fee schedule lists $50 for regular processing of Articles of Organization and $85 total for expedited processing. Other first-year costs depend on the address, business activity, and services selected.

Verified current Arizona Corporation Commission fees

The regular Articles of Organization fee is $50. The schedule’s expedited total is $85, which includes the $35 expedite surcharge. The fee schedule is revised 2026-03.

Processing time is not hardcoded here because the ACC queue changes. The official filing system and ACC instructions are the current sources for timing and any additional accelerated-service options.

No LLC annual report

The Arizona Corporation Commission states that Arizona LLCs are not required to file annual reports. Corporations are subject to a different annual-report rule.

No annual report does not mean no maintenance. The LLC must keep its statutory agent and filed addresses current, retain company records, satisfy applicable tax and licensing rules, and address changes that require an ACC filing.

Publication may add a variable cost

When newspaper publication is required, the price is varies. Arizona law does not publish one statewide newspaper rate, so this page does not substitute a private-market estimate for an official amount.

Current ACC instructions identify Maricopa and Pima Counties for the Commission’s online-posting path. The ACC approval letter tells a filer whether newspaper publication is required for the submitted statutory-agent address.

Other costs depend on the business

Commercial statutory-agent service, help with an operating agreement, and activity-specific licenses or permits all varies. They are not mandatory statewide prices and should not be rolled into a single “Arizona LLC package” number.

The Arizona Department of Revenue explains that a TPT license may be needed for taxable business activities, and cities may impose separate licensing requirements. Federal EIN needs depend on ownership, employees, excise-tax obligations, and other facts described by the IRS.

Build the Arizona estimate in separate layers

Start with the ACC fee schedule because it is the verified state charge. Then add a publication line only if the ACC’s approval letter directs the LLC to use a newspaper. Keep that line as varies until a current quote comes from a qualifying publication on the ACC list.

Next, separate optional private services. A commercial statutory agent and help with an operating agreement answer different needs and can recur on different schedules. Combining them into an advertised formation price can hide which amounts are government fees, which are private charges, and which continue after the first year.

Finally, check the business activity and location. A tax license, city business license, professional-board approval, trade permit, or other registration can be required independently of the LLC filing. The ACC forms the entity; it does not issue every license the business may need.
